Underwater Scapes
This project was done with 3-6 year olds over three days
Day 1
Teacher Prep: Cut out cardboard circles about 5 inches in diameter and prepare paints (I used white, blue and green)
Student Work: Paint the cardboard circles.
Day 2
Teacher Prep: Cut small fish shapes out of cardstock and gather glue.
Student Work: Glue fish onto their painted cardboard pieces.
Day 3
Teacher Prep: Make an oil free play dough to be used as the base to stick coral reef objects into. Create a variety of shapes that can be used for the coral reef. Select pasta shapes that can be used as an addition to the coal reef and dye them a variety of bright colors.
Student Work: Press play dough onto the painted circle of cardboard. Stick the coral shapes into the play dough.
